Summary Of Position and Objectives:

The Software Engineer is primarily responsible for designing, developing, configuring and supporting computer software applications.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the assigned portfolio of technology applications, including reengineering, enhancements, upgrades, maintenance, and monitoring
  • Provide analysis, architectural design, and leadership on large-scale, high-complexity projects
  • Operate within and support defined IT processes and procedures, including the internal Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology
  • Work with little or no supervision, exercising broad autonomy and independent judgment
  • Consult with senior peers on highly complex projects
  • Demonstrate proficiency across all levels and phases of application development and support
  • Represent the department and the organization positively, in accordance with company-established standards
  • Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to peers within areas of expertise
  • Apply application management and administration skills with a moderate level of proficiency
  • Act as a liaison between technical and business areas, ensuring all requirements and objectives are met
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation, supporting incident resolution (break/fix)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Technical Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent experience/training
  • Proven successful experience in application and systems development and management, with database experience using the .NET framework
  • Experience in using and applying Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies
  • Proven experience leading tasks or projects related to medium- to large-scale software implementations
  • Demonstrated experience leading tasks or projects related to large-scale software implementations at a Senior level

Desired Experience:

  • SQL Server or Oracle
  • Project leadership, development, and administration of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS): STARLiMS, Harvest, Copia
  • Project leadership, development, and administration of Sample Management Systems
  • Project leadership, development, and administration of Laboratory Instrument Interfaces connected to LIMS
  • Knowledge of the HL7 standard and its encoding
  • Knowledge of testing laboratory operations and processes
  • Corepoint
  • Development and administration of ERP and CRM systems or other software systems: Great Plains, Salesforce, Carevoyant

Additional Information

  • Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
  • Location: Indaiatuba/SP
  • Work Environment: Hybrid work model, with 1 to 2 days per week onsite at the office.
