Summary Of Position and Objectives:
The Database Administrator is responsible for the design, installation, configuration, upgrading, and maintenance of databases. They ensure the smooth running of database systems by optimizing performance, performing regular backups, and managing database security. The role requires an in-depth understanding of database management systems (DBMS), SQL, performance tuning, and high availability solutions.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
• Database Administration: Management of SQL Server environments (development, staging, and production), focusing on high availability, security, routine maintenance, and HA/DR strategies (replication, clustering, Always On).
• Cloud Management (Azure): Administration of Azure-based instances (SQL Database, Managed Instance, VMs), migration of on-premises environments to the cloud, and optimization using platform tools.
• Development and Performance: Creation and optimization of queries, procedures, and functions in T-SQL, applying structural improvements and resolving performance issues.
• Automation and Monitoring: Automation of routines using PowerShell and SQL Server Agent, job monitoring with tools such as Grafana and SolarWinds, and scripting for maintenance and migration tasks.
• Backup, Restore, and Security: Execution and automation of backup/restore processes, implementation of CDC for auditing and real-time reporting, and configuration of SSL/TLS to secure data in transit.
• Collaboration and Support: Close collaboration with development teams, production support, and alignment of architecture with business needs.

Technical Requirements:
• Solid experience as a SQL Database Administrator (DBA) with hands-on knowledge of Azure cloud environments.
• Proficient in T-SQL development, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Proven expertise in performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting in SQL Server.
• Specialization in Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance, including deployment, migration, and management.
• Strong understanding of SQL Server architecture, including high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting to automate DBA tasks such as backups, database integrity checks, and job monitoring.
• Experience with Change Data Capture (CDC) for tracking changes in the database.
• Proficient in configuring and using SSIS and SSRS for data integration and reporting in SQL Server.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana, SolarWinds, and Azure Monitor for real-time database health tracking and issue resolution.
• Knowledge of SQL Server Agent for job management and automation.

Behavioral Skills and/or Competencies:
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to handle complex issues independently.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Qualifications:
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Familiarity with database version control and deployment tools (e.g., Devops, Visual Studio,SSMS).

Additional Information
- Location: Indaiatuba/SP
- Language: Portuguese e English
- Work Environment: Hybrid modality, with some days working onsite at the office.
- On-call availability 1 per month in the weekends
